Are your home’s appliances breaking down?
Most appliances last quite a while, but still… time takes its toll.
And eventually, even refrigerators, ovens, washers and dryers, air conditioners, and heating elements need to be replaced.
Unfortunately, appliances aren’t cheap.
To replace all appliances in your home, you’d be looking at well over $10,000. Even just a few quickly adds up to $2,000 or $3,000.
So what should you do?
Well, we’ve worked with a lot of home sellers in your position, and here are a few recommendations…
Replace The Most Important Appliances First — Start by replacing the most important appliances, like refrigeration, oven, and washers and dryers, for example. Then, over time, you can move on to replacing AC, heating, and other less important appliances.
Fix What You Can — If the appliances are really old, then it’s likely that they’ll need to be replaced… but not necessarily. It’s worth hiring an expert to take a look. They’ll be able to tell you whether or not the appliance can be fixed… or if it needs to be replaced. Fixing is almost always cheaper than replacing.
Sell To a Professional Homebuyer — If things are breaking faster than you can afford to fix them, we’d understand if you just want to sell the home (especially if you have a lot of equity). At PineCone Properties, we buy houses as-is for cash and we can close in as little as two weeks. If that interests you, give us a call at (360)572-6669 to learn more!
